The 2017 Ford Escape has received a refreshing makeover both inside and out, making it an even more attractive option for customers looking at compact SUVs. Ideally suited to serve multiple purposes for any Ohio driver, the Escape makes for a great family hauler, a teen's first car or a dependable daily commuter.

What's New for 2017

In addition to the exterior and interior redesigns, the Escape now includes the latest edition of the Sync 3 infotainment system, new EcoBoost engine options and a suite of active driver-assist systems.

2017 Ford Escape Design

While the exterior now boasts LED headlights and taillights, most attention is deservedly focused on the prominent hexagonal grille that dominates the vehicle's nose. The interior feels and looks like that of a luxury SUV, with a new center stack media bin that offers both a USB port and a 12V power point. With a multifunction steering wheel, bucket front seats, a larger armrest and a more spacious console bin, the Escape's interior has never been more driver-friendly.

2017 Ford Escape Performance

There are three engines available for the 2017 Escape, and each is matched to a 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The Escape S trim features a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive only. SE and Titanium trims are available in front-wheel or all-wheel drive, and come with a standard turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost; there's also an available turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that cranks out 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Both EcoBoost engines are equipped with start/stop systems to boost fuel efficiency.

2017 Ford Escape Safety and Technology

Available SYNC 3 offers touchscreen control over navigation, music, Wi-Fi and more, while the available hands-free liftgate opens with the kick of your foot. Available Adaptive Cruise Control and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support aid in keeping your daily drive safe, while the Lane-Keeping System alerts you to unintentional lane drifts. Available Enhanced Active Park Assist helps navigate tight parking, and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert alerts you when it detects that a vehicle has entered your blind spot or if a vehicle approaches when you're backing out of a parking spot.

Ford Escape Trim Levels

There are three trim levels to the 2017 Ford Escape: S, SE, and Titanium. While each one delivers a quality compact SUV, different trim levels give different capabilities. There is a right kind of 2017 Ford Escape for every kind of driver, no matter what their budget.
