The Latest SUV Crossover from Ford is Here - Explore the 2018 Ford EcoSport

If you've been watching with interest the flood of subcompact, tiny SUVs that have been hitting the market in recent years, but you've been waiting for Ford to show them all how it's done, you're in luck. With the release of the all-new, 2018 Ford EcoSport, Ford not only enters the subcompact crossover genre, it dominates it with style and genuine Ford quality.

Here at Donnell Ford of Salem, we're proud to bring this great Ford SUV crossover option to our customers throughout the Salem, OH area.

The 2018 Ford EcoSport

The Ford EcoSport may be new around the streets of Beloit and Alliance, but, it's not exactly a brand new model. It's actually been a popular choice overseas for a while now, but, it hasn't debuted in the United States until now.

Our EcoSport crossover is small, but it's still roomy and comfortable. It has four doors, two rows of seating, and enough room for up to five people. Plus, it has an accommodating cargo hold for all of your gear as well. In fact, the rear cargo area of this model can carry more than 20 cubic feet of gear, and, it's made all the more useful thanks to a special hinged-door opening that opens to the side, rather than the traditional liftgate found in other SUVs.

The 2018 Ford EcoSport comes in a range of four trim options for drivers in the East Palestine area to choose from, including:

  • 2018 Ford EcoSport S
  • 2018 Ford EcoSport SE
  • 2018 Ford EcoSport SES
  • 2018 Ford EcoSport Titanium

The 2018 Ford EcoSport Power and Performance

There are also two possible engines powering the Ford EcoSport that drivers in the Columbiana area should be aware of. The first engine is a turbocharged 1.0 three-cylinder engine rated for 123 horsepower and 125 pound-feet of torque, which is standard on the EcoSport S, EcoSport SE, and EcoSport Titanium models. Front-wheel drive is standard on these models, as well as an automatic transmission, but all-wheel drive is available as an option.

The second powertrain option consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 166 horsepower and 149 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain comes with standard all-wheel drive, and it's available as an option on all trims, except the EcoSport SES model, where it comes as standard equipment.

Both EcoSport engines will earn drivers in Lisbon, OH great gas mileage, too. The four-cylinder is rated for 25 mpg combined, while the three-cylinder earns an EPA rating of 28 mpg combined.

If you have a small trailer or equipment to tow for your family's adventures, the EcoSport outshines the similarly-sized SUV competition, with a maximum tow rating of 1,400 pounds for the three-cylinder engine, and 2,000 pounds for the four-cylinder.
